Volunteers and Give-away Items are needed for Project Homeless Connect – Thursday, June 27, 2013
On Thursday, June 27, 2012 Mercer County’s fifth annual Summer Project Homelessness Connect will be held at Princeton Deliverance Church on Southard Street (new Location), Trenton and we are seeking volunteers to assist with this event. Project Homeless Connect is a one-day event designed to provide housing, services, and hospitality in a convenient one-stop model for people experiencing homelessness. The volunteers need to commit to attend the whole event from 8am to 3pm. If you are new volunteers the training is required. Last January, we served over 325 individuals at Project Homeless Connect event. The July 2012 event served over 700 people.
We are seeking volunteers to help set-up, to serve food, pass out items, and act as guides and survey takers. We are seeking donations of new socks, underwear, gently used jeans, t-shirts, shorts, sneakers, boots and personal care items. We NEED men’s clothing.
Volunteer training is scheduled for the following dates: 2 Training Times. Choose one to attend and email:

Tuesday, June 18, 2013 - Noon – 2:00pm
at the Rescue Mission – 98 Carroll Street, Turn in the first driveway and enter in the door straight ahead. There will be a sign.
