Personal Care Packages

Once a year Mercer Alliance to End Homeless coordinates the Point-in-Time Count (PIT) survey of the homeless in Trenton and Mercer County.

We provide food and personal care packages to the homeless when we encounter them during the PIT.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. It counts the homeless and provides information about services to those living on the streets, in emergency shelters and transitional housing programs. The Point-in-Time Count (PIT) survey is a mandate by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), conducted on a bi-annual basis.

In addition in January and July we host the Project Homeless Connect events where personal care items are provided to the homeless.
